Zelda unlikely won't receive a free update as Nintendo are reselling the games at full price for the Switch 2.
I ended up just buying a physical copy of Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom for Switch 2... So now I own Breath of the Wild across 3 console generations on Physical... Full price.
I don't know how Nintendo does it, but they have gotten almost $300 AUD out of me for that one game. (To be fair, it's an absolute cracking game.)
