The mention of Aven Colony reminds me of Surviving Mars. I recently started playing the original Surviving Mars again due to the release of its remaster (I didn't get the remaster, it's a terrible deal), and I gotta say, it really suffers from poor pacing. But I had troubles with it because I always take it slowly, and this stage was the opposite of that,
