I recently started playing the original Surviving Mars again due to the release of its remaster (I didn't get the remaster, it's a terrible deal), and I gotta say, it really suffers from poor pacing. It might be just my playstyle, but regardless, there's a lot of waiting, maybe even without aim, and this is coming from someone that has no issues with Minecraft being without any real objectives. Surviving Mars just never seems to have anything 'just around the corner'. Maybe if I had my sights set on something more strongly, the game could be more enjoyable, but at the moment it's really hard for me to get past the early stages of a colony. |
I liked Aven Colony a lot, but I found it a bit too easy. I mean, I rarely finish games, but this one I did, and quite easily so.
