Don't get me wrong, the game gives you missions to complete, so you always have something to work for besides the survival of the colony, but it's a very slow paced game.

Thanks for the heads-up! I can be quite patient as well, but Surviving Mars just didn't work out for me. On the other hand, I enjoy Farthest Frontier tremendously, and it's not exactly fast-paced either. However, it kind of has that 'one more turn' thing going on that many of know from Civilization (but obviously it's not turns in Farthest Frontier). Aven Colony sounds like something I might enjoy more due to the missions, but I don't know. Maybe I'll find out one day.

It's a shame you didn't get it for free on the Epic Store, because that would solve the problem.

The devs seem to have closed down and there are games that Epic has given away more than once so, there's still a chance if Team17 wants.
