Great job, OP!
I recently made some changes to my diet due to a terrible bout of kidneystones. Had to have laser treatment to blast it, it took 6-7 weeks, all in all and has been miserable. I've been living really poorly, diet-wise, for most of my life, and 2025 was probably peak unhealthy. Among cutting down on salt in general, my type of stone buildup requires less meat protein, meaning red meat, fish, poultry, the works. I already cut back on meat some time ago due to insane prices, and for variety's sake. Luckily, I'm a really good cook and can make great meals on my own. As for weight loss; nothing to report yet, I've barely been able to move since the beginning of October, but now that I'm able to again, it's coming! |
Thanks!
In addition to eating more lean meats like chicken and less red meat, I've found that cutting down on sugar helps the most, along with switching to black coffee, eating less bread, brown rice as a healthier carb with dinner and such, green tea to raise metabolism, etc.
