Recently visited Japan for 2 weeks. There was a lot to like, but my experience with the country is not only positive. I have never been in a place with so many people feeling so lonely. There are something like invisible walls between people everywhere, and in restaurants often physical ones. I live in Sweden, and we are one of the most closed in people around, but the general aura of Japan was something else. It is respectful and unintrusive to the point of being void of warmth. I'm glad I visited, but I will not return. But it was nice always feeling completely safe.

Out of curiosity, do you know the language? Because I'm also from Sweden and I'm fluent in Japanese, and I feel a lot less lonely in Japan than I do here in Sweden.
