I do hope they get the price right, especially as ram prices are going up. If they market this as a console alternative, it might be a hard sell unless it's at $400-$500 but even then it may have issues against the ps5/seriesX. But as an affordable PC, I think $600 USD is the highest they can price this as the lowest 5060 desktop I found is $749 and the 5060 desktop will likely be a lot more powerful than the steam machine with it's laptop gpu.

  • Operating System: Windows 11 Home
  • CPU: Intel Core 5 processor 120 (18M Cache, up to 4.50 GHz)
  • GPU: PNY Dual Fan OC GeForce RTX 5060 8GB GDDR7
  • Motherboard: ASRock B760M-C/D4 (BULK) LGA 1700 Intel B760 Micro ATX Motherboard
  • RAM: Patriot SIGNATURE PREMIUM 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR4 3200
  • SSD: Kingston SNV3S M.2 2280 1TB PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD
  • CPU Cooler: Montech ARGB CPU Air Cooler
  • PSU: ATX2.0 650W 80+ Gold
  • Case: ABS Cyclone mATX Gaming Case
  • Dimension: 12.62" x 7.87" x 16.34"
  • AI Ready: Yes

Imo:
$400 = Fuck yes pricing
$500 = Great pricing
$600 = Decent pricing

I tried on Alternate to configure a similarly-powerful machine (and with similar specs) and got to this:

I could have saved a bit more on cooling and PSU (and go for the 7600 that was still available, but it would only have saved me 16€), so guess ~680€ would be the price of a similarly-specced PC without assembly.

Of course, they get the parts cheaper, so if we assume a 15% combined cut from store and producer we'd be at 578€, 544€ with a 20% cut.

So I expect 549€ if sold at a small margin, 599€ for a bigger margin and 499€ if sold at a loss to recoup through sales on Steam
