They didn’t seem to be intending to troll from my perspective.
It’s a genuine respectful method of debate in some cultures, but it’s not the usual style we get in English language debates.
It seems a genuine attempt to show a different perspective.
I commented earlier in the thread about tone, and it made more sense in the context of the conversation.
