As I said many times, they've botched it completely with GKC and should've gone with GIC (Game Install Card) with performance similar to BluRay Disks.
I originally proposed U3 SD Cards, and these days they go for less than $2 for 64GB, $4 for 128GB (and those prices are for small quantities, imagine in quantities that game are shipped at), but U1 is already sufficient (and faster than BR Disk) and they are even cheaper.
