I agree with your points but, and I'm fully aware that this is my very personal opinion, to me, buying any of the Nvidia 5000 series would be like a validation of their hideous marketing campaign, with those 5070=4090 slides or the ones comparing cards running native versus DLSS and frame gen.

And I don't want to reward a company that lies so blatantly to my face.

Out of all the reasons to not buy Nvidia, I feel like marketing shouldn't be the main reason since both companies miss lead customers. Like you would actually rather support a company that tried to screw people who bought their gpu from 3 years ago with driver updates and who are unlikely to get fsr4 over Nvidia's marketing nonsense? Really? Come on man lol

Apples and oranges although, in this case, both rotten and disgusting.

As I said when the news broke out, I don't support what AMD is doing... or not doing. Sometimes the Radeon branch seems to be run by incompetents and this latest f*ck up is the latest example. Whatever the case may be or what they were trying to achieve, the only thing they've managed is to draw so much attention to their future drivers from both the media and users that if they fail to do what they've said in their third or fourth statement, we'll know and the st*tstorm will be of biblical proportions.

Nvidia lies for the dumbest reason possible: to make themselves look better. And it's pointless because the only people that will pay attention to those slides are, again, the media and the more informed users, the only ones that will see the BS in them.

If forced to choose, I can deal with someone incompetent, but I can't do it with a liar. I can foresee and prepare for what the first one might do, but I can't do that with the later.

But, as I said in my post, I'm well aware that this is a very personal opinion.
