The thing is, even if looked downright insane when GPD announced Win 5, those 300 series APUs are really good at what they do - if you run them at 30W, and there is no reason not to with such a big batteries they come with, they give ~2x performance of Ally X at 20W - sure, it's bit of a brute force, but only to some degree. And of course, you can run them at much higher wattage than 30W.
Though, fact remains they are really expensive.
