Why would the ride be over? Pokemon managed to make a fortune off of mediocre games that repeat a basic formula to infinity, why can't Palworld do the same with a better product in markets that Nintendo refuses to serve? Seems like the best outcome for consumers. |
Because I don't expect Palworld 2 or Palfarm to keep up the success considering its viral time is over now and Palworld has done nothing but decline since from the metrics I have seen. It going to PS didn't light the charts on fire and steam player count is considerably lower but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
On top of all of that, it's war with Pokemon will likely keep it off of Nintendo's platforms. Making it harder for Pokemon fans to consume Palworld products. Thanks to Palworld showing the world is hungry for more monster collecting games, a ton of competition is entering the fray like Animo along with other Ark like games including Ark 2. Those products will compete with Palworld directly on the same platforms while Pokemon remains the exclusive monster collecting juggernaut with Nintendo's audience borderline all to themselves and still being considered the "orginal" ie the one everyone is compared too. You don't have to be the true original if the world only recognizes you (Pokémon) as THE monster collecting game.
