As long as we get enough information the plan would be to track the next-gen Xbox even if it is a hybrid PC console. We tracked the Wii U and PS Vita despite how terribly they sold. If we ever got official Steam Deck numbers we would add them to the Platform Totals page.

As far as how well I think an Xbox PC console hybrid could sell? I am guessing between 10 million and 20 million lifetime depending how the price. $800 would be on the higher end of around 20 million and as the price is higher than that I would predict lower. This is with a traditional 7 to 8 year lifecycle before it is replaced. With it being more of a PC I wouldn't be surprised if a more powerful unit comes out every 4 to 5 years with games still supporting at least the previous model.

We got some good estimation of Steam Deck sales numbers : https://www.theverge.com/pc-gaming/618709/steam-deck-3-year-anniversary-handheld-gaming-shipments-idc
