Well I screwed up when answering the poll and answered 1-5 because I didn’t read the question and thought it was per day. So I guess my real answer would be 10-15 or 15-20.
It really depends on a few things: is there a new game that released that I’ve been hyped about. When Metroid Prime 4 comes out I will probably put 10 hours in per day, schedule permitting.
It also depends on how much real life chores/responsibilities I have to attend to at the moment. Lately there have been a lot of these so the gaming is certainly down to the one hour a day level.
I am currently going through a pretty blah feeling when it comes to gaming. None of my backlog looks very captivating and I don’t want to waste money buying another game that gets put into my backlog to try to “cure” the gaming boredom. I just bought Core Keeper for $12 and we’ll see how that goes. It’s a pretty small amount to pay to see if I’m bored with gaming in general or just of seeing the same backlog titles.
I will also say that I think just as sometimes your body makes you crave certain foods to heal sickness and nutrient deficiency, I think the mind knows that gaming can be an impediment to getting other things attended to in your life. I’ve been writing a lot more music these days and I think I need to lean that way more often as the Switch era/pandemic have certainly robbed me of a bit of music time.
