I know most are interested in the Switch 2 version it seems but must admit I'm very interested to see how it turns out on Switch 1. It is possibly the last major game to be developed for Switch 1 by Nintendo themselves and Retro Studios are extremely brilliant coders getting the maximum out of humble hardware. It should be a technical showcase for the older console, a amazing swansong for the format. I feel going into 2026 the Switch 1 will get downgraded to fairly easy and cheap game developments, minor games etc. I noticed Yoshi and the Mysterious book which is mainly a 2D scroller is not getting a Switch 1 version despite surely being easily downgraded to work on Switch 1. Yes I know I haven't seen all the gameplay mechanics but it looks to me like Nintendo has purposely excluded Switch 1 for commercial reasons i.e. a new exclusive to Switch 2. So it feels like Metroid Prime 4 is the last big game to Switch. I personally don't consider Mario Tennis Fever a huge/big game but perhaps I'm wrong about that.
