The leak revealing that the entire Z-A city is a single model, so can't be culled, made zero sense to me on how that even be rendered on the Switch. Until I realised that the entire city has less vertices than two cars in Forza.

The City has 355k vertices, Forza cars during races have between 100k and 250k, and in ForzaVista can have up to 800k.

How is it so low? Probably because the building models are completely flat, and things like windows and balconies are just flat plastered textures. They have basically the same model complexity as GTA3.

I've never seen such lazy game dev lmao.

This is misinformation that's been debunked.

The model shown here is used for a zoomed out aerial view, not actual gameplay.

I see, that does make more sense. I do wonder how the model complexity compares.

Edit: Though I would like a source for this, as I'm seeing other people dispute this debunk and that it is in-fact used in game, as it was in the leaked development build. Though even if it is one large model vertices can actually be culled when not in view.
