Why do you think Nintendo has survived so long as a platform holder?

VR headsets are hardly portable considering you can't see your surroundings. I have one lol, mine literally keeps me within a zone ie discourages mobility. Also what makes it (Switch/Switch 2) a home and handheld console are all of its features including the straps. I guess you are right it's also a VR headset thanks to VR Boy in February. 

Any decent and modern VR headset has a "passthrough" mode that allows you to see your surroundings.

Mine as soon as I leave the zone switches to camera passthrough mode so I can navigate obsticles without issue.
