To be fair, nintendo is very greedy and doesn't treat its fanbase, customer base and contractors very well. At the end of the day, no company is our friend or deserves our loyalty and they should be criticised for their greedy practices amd other shitty behaviour. 

All it takes if people dislike Nintendo's business is to just stop buying their consoles and games. Its obvious that the extreme rage people feel about Nintendo is all about them knowing that they can't stop themselves from buying Nintendo's stuff, even though they hate them. That love-hate relationship all these people feel about Nintendo is what causes the extreme rage, while no one has a love-hate relationship with Xbox.
