Digimon's primary platform has been Playstation since PS1 days.

Bandai Namco favors Playstation moreso when it comes to their Anime franchises.

Also worth mentioning that Sony just invested in Bandai Namco over the summer with just under 500M for a 2.5% share ownership which is more than Nintendo's 1.75% share and Sony signed a strategic agreement with them to develop and strengthen IP.
