Japan set to elect its first female Prime Minister

64-year-old Sanae Takaichi has been elected as the new leader of Japan's ruling conservative party, which puts her on course to be the first female Prime Minister in the country's history.

Takaichi is a staunch conservative, a protégé of the late Shinzo Abe, and was a heavy metal drummer as a student.
