On the flipside, Sonic Racing stumbles out of the gate, though that's not entirely unexpected as the hedgehog has never really been big in Japan. Still, a shame as it is quite a good game. Atelier Resleriana also seems to have foundered, with an opening less than half that of the last game, Yumia. |
TBH despite all the online hype around Sonic Racing: Crossworlds, I do not believe the game will sell very well. As somebody who has purchased almost every Sonic release at launch over the past 7y, I’m holding off on Crossworlds solely due to its $70USD price tag. (Plus, I just don’t see it satiating my kart racing hunger when MKWorld is still readily available to play.) That’s a lot of money for a middle-of-the-road franchise.
