Thanks you VERY much for this fix! This has been bugging me too for ages, and I just didn't think anyone would still be around to fix it. Character encodings and such are fun for sure...

Yep.  Digging all through the code going "is there where it's being encoded wrong"? "Or is it here"?

You can tell it's encoding from just looking at it - but finding out why is another issue entirely.
