Even if the price was better, I don't think the PS5 Pro would be doing well. There are few games that take advantage of the hardware. Not only was the PS4 Pro priced better, it had games that showed a real benefit to owning one. Has there been any really good Pro implementations out side of Stellar Blade? I guess Rebirth was okay too. |
Even ignoring the games side of the equation, there were intrinsic benefits to the PS4 Pro.. Like games would load faster. (Thanks to faster CPU and HDD).
Price is the biggest factor... Remember for years console gamers screeched that PC's couldn't compete because of higher pricing... Well. Welcome to PC pricing console gamers, took you awhile to join the club. PS5 Pro at $1,200 AUD is more than my "Gaming Laptop" with an RTX 4060 which I got on sale for less than $900 AUD. |
I don't disagree with your about the price being the biggest issue. I'm just saying even if it weren't, I still it would be underperforming because of the lack of any tangible upgrades. It's over priced and underdelivering.
