Xbox Series X|S will sell around 20 million units less than the Xbox One in its lifetime, but Sony hasn't inherited any of that as the PS5 has been selling less than the PS4 up to the same point in the lifecycle.

It's been selling better than PS4 in USA though, so yes they have already inherited millions from Xbox in the USA. The issue with Europe is that the economy is bad so the PS5 is selling a lot worse than PS4 did but Xbox has nothing to do with that because the Xbone always sold pretty bad in Europe.
