I predict Sony is going to pull a Nintendo and release the PS6 with only slightly bumped power. I think they're going to want the console both affordable, and its games not to cost a zillion dollars to produce. Shu has already sort of hinted at it, as have others. 

But then why releasing a PS6 at all? 

I will not buy a console that will not play games significantly better than a PS5, I will stick to my PS5 or will simply upgrade my PC

If the games already look good enough and a full generational leap is not possible, it means consoles should drop this generations thing and just start doing small upgrades every 2~3 years and let people upgrade when they feel like it, like GPUs does
