NVIDIA To Invest $5 Billion Into Intel In a Blockbuster Deal; Team Blue To Build New x86 SoCs Featuring NVIDIA’s RTX GPUs Onboard

https://wccftech.com/nvidia-to-invest-5-billion-into-intel-in-a-blockbuster-deal/

Not the type of news I was expecting to hear. It will be interesting to see how all this plays out, especially for Intels GPU division.

Instantly reminded me of Kaby Lake G, which had an integrated RX Vega M GPU.

Let's see if this one fares better than it's predecessor.

AMD launches Radeon RX 7700 with 2560 cores and 16GB memory

Pretty odd GPU and timing for it's release.

It has just 40CU (a whooping 12 less than the 7700XT), but comes with 16GB VRAM like the 7800XT and 9600XT. As such, it should be slower than the 9600XT, but only by a couple percentage points - and of course it will consume quite a bit more power than the latter card.

But if the price is right, like around $250, it could make the 5060 8GB, 5050 and Intel's Battlemage GPUs VERY hard sells. NVidia's GPUs are already overpriced but don't have anything comparable from AMD below $300, and that 7700 could fix this.
