Xbox became my primary platform in the early 2000s, because of Halo. From there, I just got used to the controller, and I continue to be a fan of Halo. I've also been a game pass subscriber for a little over 6 years now, and that adds a whole lot of value for me. Also, in this particular generation, I liked the lower price point of the series S. That made it a lot easier to justify picking up a second Xbox for my bedroom. Having two of my primary console is moderately important to me.
However, I have owned every major system since Atari 2600, except for Playstation 3 and Vita. I skipped those because at that point in my life I just wasn't gaming enough to justify the purchases. So, while Xbox is my primary, I'm not missing anything on any system.
Unless I'm going to be able to play Halo on Playstation or Switch on day one, and game pass becomes available on one of those systems, I don't see myself switching away from Xbox as my primary platform. I suppose I might consider it if I get to a point where I need to reduce my spending on video games. If I could choose only one platform to buy, right now, it probably would not be Xbox.
