Depending on the quality and advertising of the first party games they can make up for the absence of other first party games. Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza are both very popular, now we've got Metroid Prime 4 and Kirby Air Riders. Also, keep in mind that this is only the first quarter of the Switch 2's first year on the market.

I meant to say "that I can't buy". So far I got Bravely Default HD, Cyberpunk, Bananza, Street Fighter 6, Kunitsu-Gami, Silksong, maybe others I'm forgetting; I already got Metroid Prime 4, FF VII Remake and Ivalice Chronicles preordered; and I want to get Mario Kart World, Mario Tennis, Fire Emblem, Kirby Air Ride, Age of Imprisonment, Fatal Frame 2, Resident Evil 9, Pokémon Z-A, Pokopia, Elden Ring, The Duskbloods, Octopath Traveler 0, DQ 1, 2 and 3 HD-2D, Elliot, Hades 2, even Star Wars Outlaws because it's such a great port...

My wallet just can't keep up with that lineup.
