It's a 18 year old game, that most nintendo fans probably already played.
It likely took them somewhere between a day or a week to port it.
Gotta make that big profit $.
Yeah this should have been like a 40$ deal. imo.
Even then, its like my favorite 3D mario game... so probably still worth, if its all on cartridge and playable without patches ect.
So years down the line, you could go back, pick up the Switch 2 and this ,and replay it.
