You could have just genuinely asked why the thread was closed. Or even argued that you don't think it should have been closed.
You could do all of that without making assumptions or attacks.

It's exhausting how often users act like absolute bullies, and then they get banned, and then they act like we're just biased against their group of people.
Just be nice, try to imagine that we're just people trying our best - sometimes making mistakes. We're not pretending that we're unbiased, we are just trying our best.
