I'm pretty comfortable in saying at this point he is a right wing nut job.
The meme references are too niche for anyone to really know without being in that alt right sewer. I find it hard to believe anyone really trafficks in those areas without being pretty deep down the rabbit hole.
It's like, I'm a Disney adult. If I say something about Disney bounding and someone knows wtf I'm talking about, they're also a Disney adult. You just don't casually stumble upon that term.
