Oh I totally get that but it was exactly as you said.  People were attacking other people.  People weren't having a conversation.  They were just coming in all suited up to go to a culture war.  No winners.  No mutual respect of ideas.  Just anger.  The thing is, what makes politics so usless is that it promotes polerization.  But we aren't like that in real life.  In real life we agree about more things that we disagree about.  That thread was just a wasteland of rhethoric.

Its the same in this thread. But its still open. All the ones the left makes are open. Its getting really tiresome.

Okay lets talk about it.  I for one think it was right to close that thread because from the beginning Trump had stated that he was killed by the left.  That pretty much doomed/poisioned this whole topic... he basically pour gas on a flame and sent it back out to the masses.  Work with me:  now that we know that the guy who killed him was far right himself... maybe we don't even know the real reason why he did it and we need to take a step back and get all the facts before we start attacking each other or even assuming its political at all.  Like, I think we can all agree that murder is wrong.  I think we can agree that the killer needs to be brought to justice.  And I don't really know if there is anymore there there.   What do you think?
