It will be streamed first yeah though even then it could make traditional video game experiences seem quaint to people. Combine this with VR and so many people will be lost in their own curated worlds 24/7.

Oh absolutely - AI is already pretty descent in behaving as virtual GM (emphases on descent) and by the time this gets to be commercially viable it will become much more proficient in that, so "Dream up your own world" concept will shatter the very foundation of what is interactive entertainment.
