Funny story: Some years ago Berlin decided to slow down the speed limit in like forty streets across the whole city from 50km/h to 30km/h. The aim was to achieve less air pollution and less accidents.
Fast forward: the new government puts the limit on half of these streets back up to 50km/h. The given reason was yes, the air became noticably cleaner, and yes, the roads became much safer. So all in all everyone is happy, the goals were reached, therefore let's go back to normal again.
