I'm not German, I'm your friendly western neighbor. I don't know much about AfD, but why are they considered rightwing? The Nazi's where socialist (it's in the name). Are AfD hardcore capitalist?

Just because it's in the name doesn't mean they nazis were socialist. They really weren't.

It doesn't take much to see that the AfD is a bunch of nazis. When germany celebrates liberation day, they mourn about the "day of defeat". They constantly demonstrate pure racism, they dream about killing immigrants and political opponents, they want to abolish democracy and their whole ideology consists of nothing else than pure hatred. It's no coincidence that they attract a whole bunch of people who openly consider themselves nazis. One of those morons once called himself the "friendly face of national socialism". Another one is fantasizing about deporting millions of people, which includes german citizens just because they don't like their skin colour or something.

If you can't see the clear fascist tendencies in AfD today, I'm pretty sure you would also have seen the NSDAP as a perfectly normal politcally party back then. I don't care about capitalism or communism and all that crap. But the very moment you try to take away basic human rights or try to sneak in some racist propaganda, that's when you cross a line and say goodbye to freedom and democracy. That is also what makes you a nazi. Not some dumbass economical stuff. =P
