I think I'll frame my answer a bit differently (USA):
I'd like to stay in my country because I've always loved the arts and entertainment industries and despite our better days being behind us America is still a cultural powerhouse (among other qualities). I'm still working toward a long term career in the field and if successful this is probably where I'd want/need to be (that or maybe Vancouver).
I'd like to leave my country for too many reasons to list, but the straw that broke the camel's back was definitely our freefall into fascism. I hope we can pull out of our nosedive in time to not completely crash and burn, but my faith in this country and its people has well and truly shattered.
