Killzone is an in-house IP (Sony) that is likely not getting new games as Guerilla moved to a way more successful franchise, so they have decent interest head start, can keep making games similar with what they are used to work with, and get back on their feet and later pitch another new IP in the future. |
I would say Destiny is still a much stronger IP than Killzone. I would be surprised if Sony lets it become dormant after Marathon.
The upcoming Destiny Rising has now surpassed over 10M registered players. A console port/support for that could be very lucrative as Bungie begins preproduction on Destiny 3.
