Been over enough of the Internet. And, from what I see, this is just another case of manufactured outrage.
In other words, the outrage is a straw man. There’s a huge amount of outrage/counter-outrage over that straw man outrage, others trying to explain why this imaginary outrage might occur, and a few social media virtue signallers taking up the cause of the straw man. Most people are just commenting and making jokes over this manufactured outrage.
It’s the Madonna effect, a lot of news about outrage over some supposedly controversial song she released, and yet that outrage is almost nowhere to be found.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
