The sound logic would be to assume Pauline from the DK arcade is the grandmother actual Pauline is referring to. Young Pauline would become the mayor in Super Mario Odyssey, and DK is nowhere to be found so that adds up. Which means Pauline's grandma was the one who was kidnapped by Cranky Kong and rescued by Jumpman (Mario).
