Even if your post wasn't, many seem to believe exactly that. They believe Sony and Nintendo will avoid AI much more while Japanese companies prove since years that replacing humans by robots is even considered cool. People in Japan seem to have much less of a problem to see a robot in a hotel lobby, a robot in a diner or wherever else.
Just because Nintendo nor Sony can throw billions in own AI technology simply doesn't mean they avoid it more. They will just use the tech of other companies as soon as it will make sense.
Gamers just fool themselve if they believe something else. People in Europe often joke about how Japan lives already in the future with their different mindset and use of technology and that doesn't come from nowhere.
Why would Japanese gaming companies be any different.
