I hadn't considered that. It's possible that it is a portable game, but for whatever reason I don't think most people think of the portables when they hear "next-gen." I suppose the chances of it being Phoenix Wright would depend heavily on how Harvey Birdman did on the system, and what Capcom thinks of the sales.

No, I'm going to keep dreaming that it's RE 4.5. That's borderline impossible, of course, but isn't that what dreams are all about?

Not really seeing how well umbrella chronicles and Re4 sold. I could see a new RE title being announced at least before the end of the generation for the wii.

Yeah, but that takes serious effort, and while Capcom's been improving very rapidly on the system, they've mostly outsourced their Wii games so far. Mind you, if they outsource it to Mikami Shinji I would cry tears of joy, but most likely they'd want to keep any "true" RE game in-house, and between RE5, Monster Hunter, and Dark Void I think they're short on manpower right now. I can see one of those teams being shifted after they've finished what they're working on, but not before.

Heh, Spyborgs is still getting short shrift.

A couple thoughts: I don't have any real idea how large Capcom is, or how many projects they can have in simultaneous development. But it's not out of the realm of possibility that they still have resources to devote towards this game. I  was also under the impression that MH3 was nearly finished, but I coud be totally wrong on that.

And as you said, they can farm it out. I love the idea of Platinum Games doing merc work on this.
