$30 an hour is a enough to live off of in red states. Blue states, maybe not but that is the democrats fault. Paying for illegal immigrants health care, education, benefits is costing the middle class a lot of money.

The democrats caused sky rocketing prices with their social programs. Why do you think New York and California is so expensive? Again, there is no such thing as a free lunch.

$30 dollar an hour farm wages will make food prices go up significantly and farms would either not be able to compete with imports or go bust. Hence tarifs to prevent imports becoming cheaper, but then you have people going hungry / eating even less healthy cheaper food requiring more healthcare. And farms would still go bust as demand decreases (people can't afford it) and farms can't afford to sell for less.

Social programs are not to blame for high prices. Social programs actually reduce state burdens by lowering the crime rate.

The United States spends an estimated $1.2 trillion annually on its criminal justice system, including costs associated with policing, courts, corrections, and the broader societal impact of crime. This figure encompasses direct costs to taxpayers and victims, as well as indirect costs like lost productivity and healthcare expenses.

That's more than the US spends on social programs...

Plus you still got to feed the 1.8 million prisoners in the US, rising food costs from higher farm wages will increase that expenditure as well.

Police state isn't cheap!

The extra money allocated for immigration enforcement ($170 Billion) could be used much better. That's an increase of almost $500 tax payer money per American. (while already spending $3,500 per American on the justice system yearly)

USA also spends a trillion (997 Billion in 2024) on its military industrial complex, another $2,900 per American per year and about 20% of the budget
