So what is the difference between gender and sex?

Sex is the biological thing. Gender is how the society sees and assign rules, it was initially based on sex but as most social things it became complicated when we have different cultures to understand. The blurrede lines separeting gender and sex can be observed in some societies, like in India they have the Hijra which is see a as a third gender. There is also the existence of intersex people, who cannot always be correctly assigned at birth specially in past. This creates a strange occurance where people were raised and socialized as men or women, just to discover in puberty their gender assigned at birth might not exactly be representative of their chromossomes

Then why are some trans people angry when others dont call them by their gender? I mean if you believe in the definition of sex, then if you call a trans woman a woman, then wouldnt that make you a sexist?
