I know your thinking "Skyrim was really old too", but Skyrim was one of the most successful games of all time and they released the special edition in 2016 so the Switch was actually getting a new version of the game that also released on PS4 and Xbone the year before. You also have to remember that this system costs 450$ so you've got to give people more reasons as to why they should part with that money.  |
Elden Ring is only 3 years old at this point. As far as late ports go it's still pretty recent.
Hell, Cyberpunk 2077 is 5 years old now, yet the Switch 2 port did pretty well from what we know, so clearly there's demand for these kinds of ports.
