Take my opinions with a grain of salt because I've never owned a PS2. It was one of the earliest consoles I played on, but not near as much as GameCube and some others.
Switch has
-One of Nintendo's best, very likely its best, first-party lineups
-The hybrid form factor. You can play Switch anywhere
-Third-party ports and multiplats like Stardew Valley, KOTOR, and Persona.
Don't see how PS2 can beat that in quality.

A large chunck of nintendo's game output where ports of older games, does that really count as a switch gen game?(not to me)

The majority of Switch's first party output was new games; BOTW, TOTK, Mario Odyssey, Mario Bros Wonder, Smash Bros Ultimate, Metroid Dread, Splatoon 2 and 3, Xenoblade 2 and 3, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Kirby Star Allies, Zelda Echoes of Wisdom, Super Mario Party and Jamboree, Fire Emblem Three Houses and Engage, Paper Mario the Origami King, Animal Crossing, Bayonetta 3, Astral Chain, ARMS, Pikmin 4, Yoshi's Crafted World, Luigi's Mansion 3, Mario Maker 2, Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity, Mario Kart Live, Ring Fit Adventure, Switch Sports, Princess Peach Showtime, Mario and Luigi Brothership...

That's one of the strongest first party lineups of all time even without counting ports/remasters.
