I live in Australia too. I'm an atheist. Never gambled, never done drugs, rarely drink, in a long term committed relationship.

I know plenty of religious people who do; got an alcoholic uncle who is an outspoken Christian for example.

Generalizations and stereotypes are rarely helpful.

You are in a long-term committed relationship, but do you have an intention to marry and have children? Because hedonism discourages people from having traditional family structures (raising kids etc) because they focus more on their hobbies and personal interests. As for me, I am married and have three kids.

I'm autistic; if I had kids they'd most likely be autistic as well. If they ended on on the severe side of the spectrum, which is a strong possibility, I would not be able to give them the kind of support they would need, and they would probably have a miserable life. It's better not to bring kids into the world if they're just going to suffer.
