Nah man, if you got 'slightly annoyed' by a blue shell in a game famous for blue shells, enough that you break your controller over it...nah. I hope Nintendo gives you the middle finger and tells you to buy replacements. Treat your brand new 500 dollar game console with some damn respect, dude. Seriously. I know it's just a video game but that's just absurd that you think that is okay.
