This is my first time ever getting a console on day 1, and I'm glad I did. The one hiccup is that I had the problem where the Mario Kart code refused to work until I canceled my online subscription in order to reset the region of my account. There was no point in making it a download code instead of just having the game on the console, and they should never have a problem where the only fix is to literally cancel your subscription to their service. Once I got the game downloaded there were no problems. I was still able to get the free update for Tears of the Kingdom since I downloaded it before I canceled my subscription, and the subscription is technically still active through the end of the year despite the cancellation. So that was nice. Got the cheap upgrade for Hogwarts Legacy, Fast Fusion, Cyberpunk, and Street Fighter 6, the latter 2 of which are new for me. So far the games are looking great and playing great, and the size of the 3 open world games mean I'll be very busy despite there not being that much that's brand new. I also wasn't going to play many Switch 1 games on the 2, but after all the reports of how much better performance is even without a patch, I might have to reconsider that.
