Me personally, I thought the PS3 -> PS4 jump was still very noticeable.

The vast majority of the 7th gen games are running at 720p or lower, and bellow 30 fps. The jump from 720p to 1080p images (at least on PS4) and stable fps for most of the games was huge.

Obviously due to diminishing returns it wasn't a big jump compared to previous generations, but it's still noticeable. PS4 to PS5 feels a loooooooot smaller in comparison.

The jump from Switch 1 to 2 is arguably bigger than going from PS3 to PS4, so to me, it's still a very noticieable technical leap, but not a big as previous generations like I said.

Some PS4/XB1 games aged like wine and still look great today. If that's the bar for Switch 2 then honestly I'll be very satisfied.
