I don't think this is particularly unnatural, as it has been expected for some time.

[Bloomberg] Analysts expect Switch 2 to launch with 6-8 million consoles available on June 5th worldwide, biggest console launch in videogame history.

It probably would not have affected the launch, but there are already plans to increase production.
